Maral Abdollahi

PhD Student (Mass Comm)

 

Maral Abdollahi is a Ph.D. student at Hubbard School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Minnesota. Her research interest focuses on consumers’ affect in relation to various ad effects as well as psychological and persuasive mechanisms that underlie ad effectiveness.

Her research has been presented at the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC) and published in the Journal of Children and Media.

Prior to pursuing her academic career, Maral worked at various media industries and has
considerable teaching experience. Currently, she is teaching JOUR 1501: Digital Games and
Society as a graduate instructor.

Abdollahi
